A special journey

We first came in contact with Aisha over five years ago. Aisha had the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings and helping out in her mother’s food stall where she sold food. She was trapped in the circle of constant work with little to no time for education.
In 2019, Aisha had finished primary school and the plan was that she would stay home for a bit while the rest of her siblings continued. In that moment Aisha’s future seemed rather deem. It would start with her skipping school for a year or two, after which she would be constantly stuck with the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings and helping her mother. We decided that this would not be Aisha’s story and today she’s back in school and enjoying the best parts of her childhood.
